Will Daugherty is the current President & CEO at PACIFIC SCIENCE CENTER. Will has also previously worked as the Entrepreneur in Residence at University of Washington - CoMotion and as the SVP & GM at DoubleDown Interactive.
Will has always been passionate about science and technology. Will first pursued this interest by studying physics and engineering at the University of Washington. After graduation, they worked in various industries including aerospace, semiconductors, and software. In 2014, they joined DoubleDown Interactive as the Head of the company. Will was responsible for P&L and all aspects of the business including strategy, product development, technology, marketing, distribution, operations, business intelligence, and customer service.
In 2015, Will left DoubleDown Interactive to become the Entrepreneur in Residence at CoMotion, the collaborative hub for expanding the societal impact of the University of Washington community. In this role, they helped identify technologies with commercial promise and provided UW researchers with real-world insights about the commercialization process along with expertise in target markets, product development, and fundraising strategies.
In 2016, Will became the President & CEO at PACIFIC SCIENCE CENTER. In this role, they are responsible for leading the Pacific Science Center’s mission to ignite curiosity and inspire lifelong learning in science, math, and technology for all people.
Will Daugherty's educational career includes completing a type AB degree in Politics from Princeton University in 1986 and a type MA degree in Political Science (International Relations) from Columbia University in the City of New York in 1989. Will Daugherty also has a certification from the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) in Governance Fellowship.
