Brian Lin has been working in the software engineering industry since 2017. Brian started at Youtech as a Full Stack Developer, where they were exposed to a wide range of frameworks and languages such as Node.js, MongoDB and Mongoose, TypeScript, PHP, and SQL. In 2017, they also attended Dev Bootcamp, where they developed proficiency in various programming languages and web development tools, such as Ruby, Rails, Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, and others.
Prior to that, Brian was a Science Teacher at Chester High School from 2013-2016, teaching Chemistry I, Chemistry II, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. Brian was also a keyboardist for CHS's productions of \"The Wizard of Oz\" and \"Into the Woods\" and co-coach for the Scholar Bowl Team. In 2012, they were a Summer Teacher at Breakthrough Silicon Valley, teaching 7th grade biology and music theory.
In 2019, Brian joined Packback as a Software Engineering Team Lead.
Brian Lin attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Teaching Biology. Prior to that, they attended Northwestern University from 2009 to 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences.
