Established in 1891, PACKER LEATHER has been built on an ongoing commitment to quality and innovation. Our achievements are due to the integrity, adaptability and a visionary approach taken by generations of the Packer family and valued staff. The experience and expertise garnered by the company over 130 years means clients receive customised solutions for their needs.

Every leather requirement is different, and it is imperative that there is a good understanding of a products purpose before delivering a solution. PACKER LEATHER partners with a number of local and international brands to develop tailored leather’s that deliver on a customer’s individual needs. Collaboration with our client’s designers, marketing teams and production managers ensures we can create distinctive leathers that meet a range of technical, environmental and market requirements.

Not only do we produce some of the world’s best leathers, we have also developed technologies that provide unique custom finishes, improved performance and new standards in premium leather quality. PACKER LEATHER’S research and development team is at the forefront of new global systems and technologies enabling more sustainable leather creation, and more agile and leaner production processes.

The Global leather Industry recycles over 7 million tonnes of hides and skins each year. These are a by-product of the food industry and without the ability of the leather industry to transform them into leather, would go to landfill with huge environmental impact. PACKER LEATHER is proud to part of this global recycling program and making a sustainable contribution to a society that needs to consume less, reuse more and a recycle everything.

PACKER LEATHER holds a Leather Working Group gold medal that showcases our commitment to World Class environmental stewardship and industry leading manufacturing best practice. We are also QLD Government EcoBiz partners that recognises our commitment to waste reduction.
