Patrick Janssen

Head of Research at Packhunt

Patrick Janssen has extensive work experience in research and academia. Patrick is currently working as the Head of Research at Packhunt since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2022, starting as an Assistant Professor and later becoming an Associate Professor. Before joining the National University of Singapore, they worked as a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne from 2006 to 2008. In addition, Janssen worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher and PHD Researcher at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design from 1999 to 2006. Patrick also held the position of Assistant Professor (PT) at The University of Hong Kong in 2005. Janssen began their career as an Architect at GIANNI BOTSFORD ARCHITECTS LIMITED in 1996.

Patrick Janssen has an extensive education history in the field of architecture. Patrick began their academic journey at Manchester University from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree. Following this, they attended the Architectural Association from 1992 to 1995, earning an AA Diploma (MA Architecture). In 1997, they pursued further studies at the University of Westminster and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cognitive Science and Intelligent Computing in 1999. Lastly, Patrick Janssen pursued their highest level of education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Architecture from 1999 to 2005.
