Kurt Hamel

Kurt Hamel's work experience starts with their current role as the Director of Mechanical Engineering, East at PacMar Technologies since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Navatek LLC from 2019 to 2022, first as the Director of Undersea Technology from September 2020 to August 2022, and then as a Senior Research Engineer from May 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining Navatek LLC, Kurt Hamel worked at General Dynamics, Electric Boat from 2002 to 2019. Kurt held various roles in the company, including Program Representative Specialist (Advanced Undersea Integration) from May 2016 to April 2019, Senior Mechanical Engineer (Shock Test and Analysis) from February 2010 to May 2016, Senior Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Design and Engineering Department) from January 2007 to February 2010, and Mechanical Engineer (R&D, Future Payloads and Sensors Department) from June 2002 to January 2007.

In addition to their positions in the engineering industry, Kurt Hamel also served as a Men's Rowing Coach (Secondary Part-Time) at East Lyme Board of Education from March 2004 to May 2008. Before that, they gained experience as a Clinical Engineer Intern at Biotronics, Inc. during the summer of 2001 and as a Fiberglass Technician at Iron Bay Model Company during the summer of 2000.

Kurt Hamel completed their education, starting in 1994, at Mt Lebanon High School, where they obtained their high school degree. Following this, from 1998 to 2002, they attended Villanova University for their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. After some time, from 2008 to 2011, Kurt pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering, also at Villanova University.
