Joel Kapongo

Joel Kapongo has a rich and diverse work experience. Joel is currently a Co-Founder at Pactima, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, Joel was a Co-Founder and CTO at Relomigo from March 2019 to August 2020. From October 2016 to February 2019, they were the Founder and CEO of Tumello. Joel also worked as a Consultant at Deloitte Canada from January 2018 to January 2019, where they helped clients implement technology-based business solutions. Joel also worked as a Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte from September 2015 to January 2018, where they were involved in various projects and contributed to the development of proposals and presentations. Additionally, Joel has experience as a Founder in Training at Founder Institute in 2016 and as a Founder of leaf campus, a web platform for instructors, from May 2015 to August 2016. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Research Assistant at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) from January 2014 to August 2014 and at HRSDC from June 2013 to August 2013. Joel also worked as a Teen Coordinator at Adventures in Science and Engineering (University of Ottawa) from February 2012 to August 2012, where they planned and coordinated summer camp programs and delivered science workshops to elementary school students.

From 2009 to 2015, Joel Kapongo attended the University of Ottawa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computing Technology.
