Alex Chin

Alex Chin has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. In 2014, they started working as a Digital Consultant, offering their expertise in technology. Alex later became a WDI Instructor & Curriculum Lead at General Assembly, where they developed the curriculum and taught coding classes. In 2018, Alex co-founded IYNK, a tattoo booking marketplace, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer, raised funding, and built the company's app. As the CEO and Founder of Womapp from 2008 to 2013, Alex created a social recommendation e-commerce platform. Alex has also held roles as a Technology Advisor at Rove Travel App and Fassion, where they advised on technology use and fundraising. Additionally, Alex was a member of the Technology Panel & SEIS Investment Committee at Velocity Capital Advisors Ltd, advising on investments in technology-enabled businesses. In 2016, Alex founded Pad Innovation Limited, a start-up that allows tenants to rent without a deposit, where they sourced funding and worked on technology development. Lastly, Alex advised Scouty App, a tech startup for creatives, on raising investment. Currently, Alex is the Chief Technology Officer at Bunk, a cloud-based property management platform.

Alex Chin completed the Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly in 2014, focusing on Full Stack Web Development. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2005, Alex attended Hurtwood House and obtained A Levels. Before Hurtwood House, Alex studied at Reading Blue Coat School from 2000 to 2003, completing GCSEs. Alex's education began at St. George's Windsor Castle from 1994 to 2000, where they accomplished the Common Entrance requirements.
