Pete McDermott has extensive experience in both public service and education, serving as the Ward Leader and County Committee Person for the 64th Democratic Executive Ward Committee from June 2018 to July 2022, representing Democratic voters in the 64th Ward. Pete has a background in hydrographic and geomatics engineering from position at S. T. Hudson Engineers, Inc. from October 1994 to September 2018 and has been a teacher in Career & Technical Education (CTE) at The School District of Philadelphia since September 2016, focusing on drafting, design technology, and CAD/CAM applications. Additionally, Pete has served as a board member for Keep Philadelphia Beautiful and the Mayfair Community Development Corporation, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Currently, in the role of Executive Deputy at the Philadelphia Register of Wills since January 2024, Pete focuses on community outreach and various estate services.
