Pol Knops

Pol Knops has extensive work experience, starting in 1997 as a Process Engineer at Grontmij. Pol then worked as a Plant Manager at VARTech Apeldoorn from 1999 to 2001, followed by a role as Project Manager at Fibroned until 2005. From 2006 to 2010, they served as an Engineer at both BioShape Tz Ltd. and BioShape. Pol then worked as a Process Engineer at Cumae until 2009. From 2009 to 2015, Pol held the position of Technical Director at Innovation concepts BV. In 2016, they became the CTO at Green Minerals, where they remained until 2022. In 2018, they co-founded Asbetter Acids, assuming the role of Co-Founder/CTO, where they worked on developing a unique process to destroy asbestos using waste acids and producing beneficial end-products. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Paebbl as the Chief Technology Officer.

Pol Knops attended Bisschoppelijk College Sittard from 1976 to 1982. Following their graduation, they enrolled at Universiteit Twente, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics from 1982 to 1989.
