Daniel Hägg

Daniel Homer is an experienced security professional currently serving as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023, having previously held the position of Security Engineer II. Prior to this role, Daniel worked at Coinbase as a Blockchain Security Engineer focusing on digital asset and protocol security, with responsibilities including blockchain and smart contract auditing as well as on-chain monitoring and incident response. Daniel's experience also includes teaching cybersecurity as an Assistant Instructor at the University of Toronto and working as a Security Analyst at Hydro One, where responsibilities encompassed cyber risk management and vendor risk assessments. Earlier roles at EWA-Canada included positions as Security Engineer I and II. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Computer Science with a concentration in Computer and Internet Security and a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University, completed in 2017.
