Wouter Groot has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Wouter began their career as a research assistant at Delft Aerospace before moving on to Stork Fokker AESP, where they worked as a Materials and Processes Engineer. In 2009, they joined New York University as a research staff member. Wouter Groot then transitioned to Airborne Oil & Gas B.V., where they took on the role of Team lead test department, responsible for testing facilities for thermoplastic composite pipes. Most recently, they have been working at PAL-V International BV as the Project team lead for the lift system of the PAL-V flying car.
Wouter Groot attended Zaanlands Lyceum - Zaandam from 1987 to 1994. Wouter then went on to study Aerospace engineering and earned their MSc degree at Delft University of Technology from 1994 to 2001.
