Heather Olson is an experienced archaeology professional with a robust background in historical and archival research, material culture analysis, and public education. Serving as the Archaeology Laboratory Manager at The Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc. since October 2011, Olson has previously held roles as a Historical Researcher and Material Culture Analyst for self-employment and as an Archaeologist at TRC Companies, Inc., where project management and principal investigation for cultural resource projects were key responsibilities. Previous experience includes supervising the archaeology lab at Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest, managing operations, conducting research, and creating museum exhibits. Olson holds an M.A. in Anthropology (Historical Archaeology) from Louisiana State University and a B.A. in Anthropology (Historical Archaeology) from the University of Connecticut.
