Ken Staley

Ken Staley currently serves as a Senior Counselor at Palantir Technologies and a Senior Associate at the Global Health Policy Center of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Prior to these roles, Ken was the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Strategy at Optum Serve and coordinated U.S. government activities to combat malaria at USAID, where Ken also led the COVID-19 Task Force. Ken's experience includes board memberships with organizations focused on malaria eradication and consultancy at McKinsey & Company. Earlier career highlights include serving as Director for Corporate Development at Medtronic, where Ken innovated business models in emerging markets, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Counterproliferation at the U.S. Department of State. Ken holds an MD from the University of Iowa, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and an AB in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
