Lía Silva

Lía Silva is a finance executive leader with extensive experience in the insurance sector, having served as the General Director of Insurance at the Superintendencia de Bancos y Seguros from 1997 to 2013. Lía has over 16 years of expertise in financial control, analysis, and regulatory compliance within the Ecuadorian insurance market, while also representing Ecuador at various international regulatory conventions. Currently, Lía leads financial strategy at Pan-American Life Insurance Group and serves as a director for both the Asociación de Empresas de Seguros del Ecuador and the Bolsa de Valores de Quito. Additionally, Lía is a professor of technical standards in investments, solvency, and reinsurance at the Fundación para la Investigación y Desarrollo del Seguro Ecuatoriano-FITSE. Lía is pursuing further education at the Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes.
