Mark Lawrie

Mark Lawrie joins The Pallinghurst Group as Vice President and has played a vital role in the Group’s finance function over several years. Mark re-joined the Pallinghurst finance team in May 2022 following several years as Head of Investor Relations & Group Reporting Accountant at Gemfields.

In 2011, Mark joined The Pallinghurst Group where he played an integral role in the Group’s finance function. He worked on a number of transactions, most notably playing a significant role in Pallinghurst Resources’ takeover of Gemfields in 2017. In 2018, Mark moved to Gemfields, post the takeover. His role at Gemfields covered the company’s capital market strategy, the management of broker and analysts, financial and investor reporting and he became a key contact for Gemfields’ shareholder base. Mark played a vital role in the listing of Gemfields on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2020.

Mark is a chartered accountant and graduated from the University of Bath where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics. Before joining Pallinghurst, Mark worked in a several finance positions including at the FTSE100 retail company, Next Plc, at their Leicestershire head office.
