Ian Cooper

Ian Cooper is an experienced executive and board member in the fields of corporate venture capital and technology. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Venture Capital Europe at National Grid since September 2018, Ian also holds several board positions, including Board Director at Sensat and CNIguard, and Board Observer roles at Risilience and Panaseer. Previously, Ian was the Chief Operating Officer at Ardent Capital, where responsibilities included overseeing operations, investment processes, and portfolio management. Ian has additional experience as a board director for multiple companies including Bizzy Indonesia and Snapcart, and has played a significant role in the strategic growth of Tobii Technology during a crucial period leading up to its IPO. Ian holds an MBA from HEC Paris and dual degrees in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Cape Town.
