Suman Kar

Suman Kar has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering management. They started their career as a Senior Associate at Cognizant, where they worked as a consultant for big companies. During this time, they conducted end-to-end analyses and built code to support business decisions.

In 2011, Suman joined Medio as a Senior Data Engineer. They designed a data warehouse and developed executive dashboards and a user segmentation platform, utilizing big data technologies on the AWS platform. Their work contributed to critical business decisions and personalized recommendations.

In 2014, Suman joined HERE Technologies as a Lead Software Engineer. They served as a tech lead for the Platform Portal team, delivering multiple UI applications for the HERE Open Location Platform. They also developed reusable web components and took on the additional role of a Product Owner for a high-priority project.

Most recently, Suman has been working as an Engineering Manager II at HERE Technologies. They managed a global team, achieved an Elite score in DevOps metrics, and reduced operational costs. Suman will be joining Pandion as a Software Development Manager in May 2023.

Suman Kar completed their education in a chronological order. They attended St. Patrick's H.S School from 1990 to 2001 for their high school education, where no specific degree or field of study is specified. In 2001, they enrolled at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, which they completed in 2005. Later, they pursued training and certification programs at the University of Washington, specializing in JAVA from 2015 to 2016, and in Javascript from 2017 to 2018.
