Gianna Farrell

Gianna Farrell is an early career professional with diverse experience in both educational and laboratory settings. As an Early Childhood Educator at Little Voices Day Care Centre, Gianna fostered learning in young children. In 2023, during an internship at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Gianna coordinated the Boston Learning Lab’s Summer Programming, acquiring skills in various laboratory techniques such as bacterial transformations and CRISPR technology. Additional contributions at Vertex included collaborating on laboratory experiments and assisting in the preparation of “Science & Medicine” Talks. Current roles at the University of Massachusetts Lowell include serving as a Laboratory Prep Aide in Biomedical & Nutritional Science while gaining research training in genetic manipulation at Harvard Medical School. Gianna also has experience in customer service as a top-selling Sales Associate at Pandora and previously worked as a Food Server at Ron's Ice Cream and Bowling. Gianna is pursuing a degree at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2022 to 2026.
