Tom Plofchan

Tom focuses on Pangiam's technology, security, and aviation engagements. Over the course of the past decade, he has consulted for a number of Fortune 100 financial institutions and held roles across the U.S. national security sector focused on the intersections of technology, policy, civil liberties, and threat. He served as a National Security Advisor to the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory before entering government to serve as the Counterterrorism Advisor to the Commissioner, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and as Counterterrorism Counselor to the Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Tom was awarded the DHS Outstanding Public Service medal in 2019.
