David Ing

David Ing has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David currently works at Panopto as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on media. Prior to that, they worked at BSQUARE as a Senior Software Development Engineer III and Data Scientist, where they contributed to building a big data platform using various tools. Before that, they served as the Chief Technical Officer at Freyr Systems, utilizing technologies such as Angular.js and OSG.js. David also worked as an SDE 2 at Expedia, where they contributed to the recommender system. Additionally, they have had experiences as a Developer at Microsoft, Software Architect at Radiant ZEMAX, LLC, Computer Vision Engineer at Microsoft, Program Manager and Senior Consultant at Dell (via Perficient), and Game Programmer at Playdom. David began their career as a Researcher at the Center for Perceptual Systems, conducting experiments and analyzing data in the field of vision science.

David Ing completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara from 1996 to 2001. David further pursued their education and obtained a PhD in Perceptual Systems from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 2002 to 2010.
