Stephen Joy

Stephen is Senior Associate on the Investment Team at Panoramic Ventures.

Prior to Panoramic Ventures, Stephen owned and operated his own startup, called Tack, a digital tipping platform helping service workers through the COVID-19 pandemic. He led Tack to a spot on Poets and Quants most disruptive MBA startups of 2020 list.

Previously, Stephen worked as an Associate for New Stack Ventures, investing in IoT, DeepTech, and B2B SaaS. Prior to New Stack, Stephen was a Principal Engineer at Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), a SaaS data-analytics firm that was acquired by MasterCard. During his time with APT, Stephen brought six big-data SaaS products to market, three of which won multiple industry awards for innovation.

Stephen has a B.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Darden, University of Virginia.

Stephen is an avid startup mentor, software tinkerer, and soccer player, coach, and referee.
