David Walker

David Walker is an advisor to the global forestry and bio-materials industries, with over 35 years of professional and investment advisory service experience in sectors including forestry, renewable energy, and environmental fields. They founded Kauri Capital in 2010, serving as the Managing Partner and providing strategic advisory services on a global scale. In addition to their role at Kauri Capital, they are a board member for several organizations including Paptic Ltd, Notpla, and CarbonPool. Previously, Walker held prominent positions such as Managing Director at Macquarie Group and President of Pöyry in the Asia-Pacific region. They earned a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington.
