Our engineers invented 3D woven E‑glass fabric. 

In the 1980s, engineers at Parabeam BV created an innovative woven glass fabric that is widely used in the composite industry all over the world. Inspired by traditional weaving methods, we developed a versatile three-dimensional fabric made of 100% E‑glass yarn. It soon became apparent that its uses were endless. 

Parabeam was acquired by the Canadian company, ZCL Composites Ltd. (ZCL) in 2002. When Shawcor Ltd. acquired ZCL in 2018, Parabeam became part of one of Canada’s largest global companies.
