Gareth Kay

Gareth Kay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the gaming industry. Gareth currently works at Paradox Interactive as a Content Designer, responsible for creating and actioning community plans for the game Stellaris. Prior to this, they served as a Community Manager at Paradox Interactive, where they promoted the Europa Universalis brand through social media platforms and maintained communication with the players. Before joining Paradox Interactive, Gareth worked at Mordred Viking Media LTD as a YouTube and Twitch Content Creator, where they focused on hosting Let's Play video content and actively engaging with their community. Gareth also served as a Community Ambassador for Paradox Interactive during this time. Previous to that, Gareth worked at Gwythdarian LLC as a Loremaster, Lead Writer, and Senior Designer, where they were responsible for world building, background stories, and fiction creation. Lastly, they co-founded Zatobo Games as a Lead Designer, concentrating on delivering innovative computer game concepts.

Gareth Kay pursued their undergraduate education at Lancaster University from 2004 to 2007. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science with Creative Writing. Later on, in 2010-2011, they attended the University of Brighton for their postgraduate studies, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Management and Entrepreneurship.
