Robert M. DiFazio has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to the present. Robert M. is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Parallel Bio since May 2021. Previously, from 2017 to 2021, Robert worked at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they held the position of Director, Office of Strategy and Research Development, ITI. In this role, they established and led the office, guiding program strategy and development. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2017, Robert was a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, focusing on immune responses and pulmonary fibrosis after drug treatment. Robert M. also served as a Teaching Assistant during this time. Before that, from 2009 to 2011, Robert worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they held various roles, including Campus Tour Guide, Teaching Assistant, Undergraduate Research Assistant, and Incoming Student Liaison.

Robert M. DiFazio completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with High Distinction in Chemistry & Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Robert M. then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology of Infectious Disease at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from 2011 to 2016. Following that, they joined Stanford University School of Medicine for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Systems Immunology, which they completed in 2017.
