Tommy Alvarez currently serves as the Head of 3D & Immersive Content at Parallel, where responsibilities include project planning, scoping, and leading teams to develop cutting-edge real-time experiences since November 2021. Prior to Parallel, Tommy worked at Apple in the Technology Development Group, contributing to Apple VisionPro from September 2018 to November 2021. As a co-founder of Substance Tools from March 2015 to December 2018, Tommy focused on creating high-quality tools and materials for artists and game developers. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior/Project Lead Environment Artist at ILMxLAB, where projects included notable titles such as Ralph Breaks VR and Star Wars: Vader Immortal, and working as an Expert Environment and Props Artist at Red Storm Entertainment on games like Tom Clancy's The Division. Tommy holds a MAISCA course in Computer Animation from Universitat de les Illes Balears.
