Fred Young

Fred Young is an experienced professional in landscape architecture and planning, currently serving as a Senior Consultant and Senior Planner at Parametrix since January 2022. Prior to this role, Fred held multiple positions at Alta Planning + Design from February 2013 to January 2022, including Managing Director for Southeast Asia, where significant contributions were made in building networks and developing strategies for various service areas, and Principal & Office Manager in Seattle, overseeing office operations and supporting office expansions. Fred's background also includes extensive experience at Lorna Jordan Studio as a Studio Manager and Landscape Designer, collaborating on numerous award-winning public art projects, and various roles with the National Park Service and the University of Minnesota, focusing on biological research and documentation. Fred holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota, obtained between 1997 and 2000.
