Jenifer Young

Division Manager, Environmental Planning & Compliance at Parametrix

Jenifer Young has extensive experience in environmental planning and compliance. Jenifer currently serves as the Division Manager of Environmental Planning & Compliance at Parametrix, a role they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Thistle Street Consulting from 2008 to 2021, where they served as President. Jenifer'sresponsibilities included managing multidisciplinary environmental documentation projects, particularly environmental impact statements, and ensuring compliance with NEPA regulations for major infrastructure projects, with a focus on transportation.

From 2018 to 2020, Jenifer worked at VHB as a Senior Environmental Planner. In this role, they developed strategies, managed projects, and conducted technical analysis for environmental documentation projects in various locations, including New York and New England. Jenifer also played a key role in thought leadership and staff development within VHB's firmwide NEPA Practice.

In their previous tenure at Parametrix from 2015 to 2018, Jenifer served as the Division Manager of Environmental Planning & Compliance. Jenifer led a division of 35 employees across multiple offices, overseeing financial performance, business development, and staff/workload management. Jenifer also directed six groups of technical experts and managed environmental compliance services for clients in the Puget Sound region.

Before Parametrix, Jenifer held positions at CH2M HILL as a Senior Project Manager from 2014 to 2015 and as a Senior Environmental Planner from 1989 to 2008. In these roles, they led environmental documentation and permitting for infrastructure and planning projects, as well as took on leadership positions within the company. Jenifer successfully marketed and managed significant projects in the Seattle office.

Jenifer's work experience also includes a role at Parsons as an Environmental Manager from 2012 to 2014. In this position, they managed NEPA/SEPA compliance services and oversaw environmental projects for clients such as the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Jenifer Young attended the University of Washington from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. Jenifer'sfield of study was focused on Environmental Policy.
