Shira DeGrood is a seasoned Project Manager and Senior Geologist with 17 years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation. Currently, Shira is leading projects at Parametrix, focusing on contaminated site management and technical oversight. Shira previously served as a Project Geologist/Chemist at AECOM, where responsibilities included forensic analysis and technical allocation support for the Portland Harbor Superfund Site. Shira has also held roles at ERM, providing project management and in-depth site investigations, and has taught environmental science courses at Portland Community College. With a Master’s degree in Biogeochemistry from UC Davis and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from Oregon State University, Shira is a registered geologist in Oregon and Idaho.
