Joan Hilty

Joan Hilty is a seasoned editorial director currently serving as the Executive Editor at Avatar Studios, where they oversee the coordination of narrative-based projects within the Avatarverse. With a career spanning over two decades, Joan co-founded Pageturner, where they held the position of Editor-In-Chief from 2011 to 2021, and previously contributed as a Senior Editor at DC Entertainment/Vertigo. Joan has also held various editorial consulting roles and has taught at the School of Visual Arts since 2015. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Brown University in 1989.
