Jason Samuels

Jason Samuels is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and documentary production. As a Senior Executive Producer for BET News and Documentaries at Paramount since June 2015, Jason has spearheaded the development of award-winning original films, including "Black + Iconic: Style Gods." Concurrently, Jason serves as a Full Professor with Tenure at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and holds leadership roles in the NYU Urban Journalism Workshop and the NYU Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship. Previous positions include Senior Segment Producer at HBO, Documentary Producer/Writer/Director at CNN, Senior Producer roles at ESPN and ABC News, and Producer at NBC News. Jason holds a Master of Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tufts University.
