Phil Ferro

Phil has held a multitude of public and private sector positions formulating policy and developing high-impact programs at the intersection of biotechnology, finance, security, and health. Phil has served in leadership roles across the U.S. Federal Government, including as the Director for Countering Biological Threats on the National Security Council (NSC) staff at the White House. Additionally, Phil has served as a Federal civil servant at the Departments of State, Defense, and Health and Human Services (HHS), where he led efforts on critical national and health security issues, medical countermeasure development, and infectious disease research. While in the private sector, Phil focused on corporate and R&D strategy as well as mergers and acquisitions within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Phil has a Doctor of Philosophy in Virology, and Master of Science in Oncology.
