Emily McDonnell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emily is currently the Vice President of Trust and Safety at ParentSquare since 2023. Prior to this, they were a Founding Member of #TSCollective starting in 2021.

Before joining ParentSquare and #TSCollective, Emily worked at Remind from 2014 to 2023. During their tenure at Remind, they held multiple positions including Vice President of Trust and Safety, Head of Trust and Safety, and Head of Support and Customer Privacy. In these roles, they focused on the success and safety of Remind's users, managed various teams, and was responsible for compliance and certifications related to sensitive student data.

Emily started their career in 2009 with Relief International in a Human Resources role.

Emily McDonnell attended Pomona College from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. In 2008, they also studied Spanish Language and Literature at the Universidad de Córdoba for a brief period. Prior to college, they attended The Athenian School from 2000 to 2004. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained various certifications including Foundations and PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute, as well as certifications from Coursera in topics such as Subsistence Marketplaces, American Foreign Policy, International Organizations Management, Public Speaking, Computer Science, and Economic Issues. Emily also completed the Pulse Academy for Customer Success Managers training from Customer Success University.
