Mark Whiting is currently the Chief Scientist at Pareto and a research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where they focus on human-computer interaction (HCI) and computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) to enhance coordination. Mark previously served as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania, working under renowned researchers in the field. They hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and have also gained experience as a design lead at Adaptive Equipment, a fellow at IDEO CoLab, and a visiting scholar at KAIST. Mark’s educational background includes a Master's in Industrial Design from KAIST and a Bachelor's with First Class Honors from RMIT University.
