Mladen Basic, P.Eng, has extensive experience in the drilling engineering field, having held various leadership and engineering roles at prominent companies. At Shell, from November 2012 to January 2016, Mladen served as Drilling Engineering Lead for Unconventionals, as well as managing operations and completions in Albania and overseeing the Atlas Carbon Capture Project. Currently, Mladen is a Senior Drilling Engineer at Parex Resources since May 2025. Prior experience also includes positions at Talisman Energy, where Mladen worked as a Drilling and Completions Engineer and held several senior roles in shale and foothills exploration. Mladen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
