Lamar Owen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in broadcast engineering and information technology. From July 1993 to July 2003, Lamar served as Chief Engineer at WGCR Radio, followed by a brief role as RPM Packager at Great Bridge, LLC in 2000. Since August 1990, Lamar has been self-employed as a Broadcast Engineering/Information Technology Consultant. Currently, from May 2017, Lamar holds the position of CTO at Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute, where prior roles included Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology from May 2007 to April 2017. Additionally, Lamar was an RPM packager and contributor emeritus for the PostgreSQL Global Development Group from July 1999 to February 2004. Lamar graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University-Georgia in 1989.
