Andy Brown

Andy Brown, Eur Ing, C.Eng, P.Eng, MIET, SMIEEE, is a semi-retired forensic consultant and high voltage electrical engineer specializing in power generation utilities. With over 40 years of experience, they have worked in various roles, providing expert support and investigations related to high voltage electrical failures, root cause analysis, and forensic engineering for both power utilities and insurance companies. Andy has held leadership positions at numerous firms, including Iris Power Engineering and Pario Engineering, and has contributed as a subject matter expert in large generator failure investigations. They are registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta and Saskatchewan and have been influential in establishing forensic engineering teams across Western Canada.
