Staci Cohen

Project Manager, R&D at Parion Sciences

Staci Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Staci began their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Emory University School of Medicine in 1998, where they worked under the mentorship of Henry F. Edelhauser, Ph. D. In 2000, they became a Research Specialist at the same institution, working under Jeffrey H. Boatright, Ph. D. Staci then transitioned to the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003 as a Graduate Research Assistant under the guidance of Nael A. McCarty, Ph. D.

In 2010, Staci took on the role of an Innovation Technology and Marketing Intern at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Office of Technology Development. During their time there, they also served as a NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Postdoctoral Fellow, working with David Siderovski, Ph. D. in the Department of Pharmacology. In this role, they led a team of multi-institutional scientists in investigating the role of regulators of G-protein signaling (RGS) proteins in taste, utilizing molecular and cellular assays.

Staci then joined the Journal of Clinical Investigation as an Editorial Intern in 2012. Finally, they joined Parion Sciences in 2013, initially as a Research and Development Scientist and eventually transitioning to the role of Project Manager, R&D in August 2016. The specific end dates for their roles at Parion Sciences, as well as their current role, are not provided.

Staci Cohen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Emory University from 1995 to 1999. Staci later pursued their Ph.D. in Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and accomplished it from 2003 to 2009.
