Stefan Schmid is currently the Head of Technology Partnerships at Parity Quantum Computing, a position they have held since 2024. Previously, they served as a Technology Owner for Hybrid Bonding at Besi Austria GmbH from 2021 to 2023 and held various roles at SWAROVSKI from 2012 to 2017, including Senior Project Manager for PVD Coating. Stefan completed their Diplomstudium in Physics at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck and pursued a doctorate in Physics at Universität Innsbruck & Universität Ulm, along with a role as a Visiting Scholar in the Physics Department at the University of California, Berkeley. They also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut für Quantenmaterie - Universität Ulm in 2012.
