Barry Hodges

Barry has been working in the field of software engineering since 1992. He has worked his way up from junior developer to senior lead developer, architect and is now managing multiple software teams. He has extensive experience in building software in multiple languages including C++, visual basic, C#, as well as web languages HTML, CSS and AngularJS. Barry started his career building client server applications using TCP/IP to communicate to servers but in early 2000 transition to developing web applications and web services. He is very experienced with building SOAP services but in recent years and shifted focus to REST services. Barry’s experience spans multiple industries including insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing, accounting financial and e-commerce. Over the years Barry has developed himself to be a very versatile engineer expanding his skills to include software architecture, database administration, data warehouse and IT administration. Barry has managerial experience leading multiple teams including onshore, near shore and off shore resources using Agile/Lean software development practices. Barry has developed processes to encourage greater quality of software from his teams while still promoting a since of camaraderie.
