Sarah Powell is a seasoned executive leader in the sports industry, currently serving as the Chief Executive of British Gymnastics and a Trustee for parkrun Global. With over 20 years of experience, they have led various roles, including Chief Executive at Sport Wales, where they significantly impacted sport across Wales. A former international hockey player and captain, Sarah represented their country in over 70 matches, culminating in the 1998 Commonwealth Games. They obtained a BSc in Psychology from Swansea University and a PGCE from Cardiff Met, transitioning from education to sport leadership, where they have also contributed to policy areas involving health and education.
