Phil Strauss

Phil Strauss is an Advisory Board Member at Parley Pro. Phil has been with the company since January 2020 and their current title is Advisory Board Member. Prior to joining Parley Pro, Phil was with Health Fidelity from January 2015 to July 2017 where they served as Vice President, Operations & General Counsel; Chief Privacy & Compliance Officer. Phil was responsible for building the legal, compliance and privacy function for a private venture capital-backed health care analytics NLP software firm. Additionally, they led cross-functional matters in employment law, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, contract management, corporate governance, corporate finance and M&A. Phil generated $10M+ in annual revenue and grew the company from 20 to 80 professionals. Phil also reduced regulatory risk with HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid compliance programs, assessments and achieved HITRUST healthcare security compliance certification for the company. Prior to Health Fidelity, Phil was with Rakuten Americas from January 2013 to December 2021 where they served as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer.

Phil Strauss has a JD from Duke University School of Law, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a BA in International Relations from Emory University. Phil also has certifications from LinkedIn in Learning Program Management, from the University of California, Berkeley in Data Science: Bridging Principles & Practice, and from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in CIPP/E, Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).
