Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Christopher started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Otago in 2013, where they worked in a pigeon neuroscience and cognition lab, assisting with experimental tasks and data collection. From 2017 to 2019, they held two positions at the University of Otago, first as an Assistant Research Fellow and later as a Demonstrator/ Tutorial teacher in psychology lab classes, where they led sessions and taught concepts to students.

In 2019, Christopher joined the University of Otago, Wellington as a Research Assistant in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine, where they were involved in creating research projects, analyzing data, conducting interviews, and writing papers. Christopher continued in this role until November 2020.

Following their time at the University of Otago, Christopher worked at AgResearch in 2021 as a Data Science Summer Intern and later as a Data Scientist on a casual contract. During this time, they gained further experience in data analysis and research.

Currently, Christopher is working at Parrot Analytics as a Graduate Data Scientist. Christopher joined the company in November 2022 and will continue in their role as a Data Scientist starting from May 2023.
