Parsec is a collective founded by curators, artists, art historians, and cultural workers who feel the urgency to talk about art highlighting its social value and the role it plays in the imagination of the present.

It is a space for participatory and fluid art, born from the desire to create and keep alive a debate on contemporary art and to have a shared space of work, discussion and debate.  

Over the years, Parsec worked along with organisations in Bologna to pursue research and educational goals, with local and international artists, promoting activities related to different expressive languages that reflect on contemporary issues.

Parsec has just announced the sixth edition of a series of artistic residencies with emerging artists and their respective public programs consisting of talks, crit, open studios, studio visits and workshops, featuring professionals from the Italian contemporary art scene. It is in its third edition of the Terrapolis festival and has organized several festivals dedicated to video art and cinema. 

Parsec also contributed to the creation of the k.i.n. network, which includes 12 independent spaces in Bologna. 

It curated Fondazione Zucchelli's booth for ArteFiera 2023, realized events in Italian and foreign cities by participating in the Chiasso Biennale and collaborating with the Municipality of Massa Lombarda.
