Deirdre Smith

Deirdre Smith, PE, is a Principal Civil Engineer at Parsons Corporation since October 2017, currently serving as Project Trackwork Engineer for the Amtrak Baltimore and Potomac Tunnel Replacement project in Maryland. Prior experience includes roles as Project Manager at Rinker Design Associates, P.C. from February 2016 to October 2017, and at Jacobs from March 2005 to December 2015, focusing on rail and transit design projects. Deirdre was also a Project Manager for the Maryland Transit Administration from 2012 to 2015, overseeing the preliminary engineering design and environmental assessment for the new MARC maintenance facility. Earlier in career at Parsons Corporation from January 1991 to March 2005, held positions as Project Manager and Project Engineer on rail and transit projects. Deirdre earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1988.
