Apple Tan has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Secretary for the Malaysian Student Association in 2009. Apple then worked as an Intern for Hey, Hey! Gorgeous from 2012-2013, during which time they also held roles as Camera Operator/ Teleprompter Coordinator for IUP-TV, Multimedia Intern for Hey, Hey! Gorgeous, and Admission Operations Assistant for MCPHS. In 2014, they became a Senior Customer Service Agent for PayPal, and in 2016 they were a Digital Marketing Manager for Sutera Harbour Resort. From 2017-2020, they were a Digital Account Manager/ Content Manager for Weave Asia, and since 2020 they have been an Account Manager for Viral Access. Apple is currently a Senior Key Account Manager for Partipost.
Apple Tan attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications Media.
