David Gerónimo

David Gerónimo is the current head of R&D at Partium.io. David has also served as the Senior VP of Applied Research at Slyce and as an Associate Lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Gerónimo’s research focuses on information extraction and information fusion. David has led a team of 5 researchers in different locations (Spain and Austria). Their role is two-fold: 1) to lead the team to attain our objectives by fostering key values such as communication, collaboration, clear objectives and project definitions, mentoring, roadmap definition and research integrity; and 2) to foster good methodologies and practices together with other heads in the R&D department.

In their previous role as Senior VP of Applied Research at Slyce, Gerónimo led a team of 6 Machine Learning researchers of different profiles (juniors and seniors) in different locations (Spain, USA and Canada). Their objective consisted in fostering communication and collaboration among the team so that their research objectives and efforts were focused an effective.

Gerónimo has also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Assistant Lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and as an Assistant Lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

David Gerónimo has a PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Computer Vision, an MSc from the Computer Vision Center in the same field, and is an Engineer and Technical Engineer in Computer Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. David has also taken some courses on Coursera in Buddhism and Modern Psychology, Introduction to Marketing, and Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management.
