Laurent Rochat

Laurent Rochat has extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as the General Manager (CEO) and Executive Director of PartnerRe's insurance company since September 2004. Previously, Laurent held various roles at PartnerRe, including Chief Operations Officer and Chief Operations Officer Direct & Facultative, where responsibilities encompassed operational efficiency and compliance in global non-life specialty and wholesale business. Prior experience includes senior underwriting roles for Asia, Middle-East, Africa, and Southern Europe markets, along with positions in property and casualty underwriting. Laurent began a career in engineering with Bouygues Construction Group, where management of large building projects was part of the role. Educational qualifications include an MBA from IESE Business School and degrees in History of Art and Archeology, as well as Civil Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles.
