Jerry Smith

Jerry Smith has extensive experience in law enforcement, education, and sports officiating. From 2006 to the present, Jerry has served as a high school and middle school soccer and basketball official. Prior to this role, Jerry worked at the Cedar Lake Police Department from 1995 to 2017, where positions included Chief of Police, managing departmental operations, and D.A.R.E. Officer, teaching drug prevention curricula to students. Jerry's military background includes service as a Corporal and Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 to 1987, with responsibilities such as landing support and recruitment. In addition, Jerry has contributed to school safety as a Security & Safety Officer at Crown Point Community School Corporation and currently serves as a Sergeant in School Safety and Security at Pasco County Schools, overseeing security personnel for elementary schools.
