Jörg Heilig

Jörg Heilig is currently an advisor at Passbase. Prior to that, they spent thirteen years at Google, where they were VP Engineering for Cloud Developer Experience. Before that, they were Senior Engineering Director at Sun Microsystems, responsible for OpenOffice.org/StarOffice engineering based in Hamburg, Germany.

From 1996 to 1999, Jörg was Engineering Director at Star Finanz GmbH, where they co-created StarMoney, Germany's leading home banking software. Jörg was also responsible for early technology and buy vs. make decisions. Jörg wrote substantial pieces of the code base and managed all of engineering and QA.

Prior to that, Jörg worked as a consultant at Accenture from 1995 to 1996.

Jörg Heilig received their Master's degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
